Peterman Associates, Inc., founded by Glen A. Peterman in 1939, was previously known as Peterman and Harvey, and was located in Fostoria, Ohio. The company relocated to Findlay, Ohio in 1948 and established what is now known as Peterman Associates, Inc. Today, as Peterman Associates, Inc., we employ over twenty-three full time employees with a wide range of talent and experience and we still have our corporate office located in Findlay, Ohio.

 

Our goal is to provide quality professional service to our clients. With this strong commitment, we have been in business for over eight decades. Client satisfaction results in long term relationships which accounts for the majority of our business.

Peterman Associates, Inc. corporate office is located in Findlay, Ohio. We offer a wide range of professional services. These services include architectural design, construction management, engineering, environmental, planning, structural engineering, inspection and surveying services. Peterman Associates, Inc. is licensed in several states and is qualified to perform work for the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT).

 

Facility and Equipment

 

The offices at Peterman Associates, Inc. are composed of an Administration, Architectural, Engineering, and Surveying Department.

 

The Administration Department handles billings, general marketing activities, staff coordination, and general office management from our Findlay, Ohio headquarters.

 

The Architectural Department provides professional design services for a wide range of clientele. Whether your need is commercial, industrial, institutional, governmental, retail or residential, our staff is quite experienced in providing our clients with various design layouts that will meet your specific needs. Should you wish to expand or renovate your facility on your current site or build an entirely new structure, we will work with you through the design process to create a building solution that you can be proud of.

 

The Engineering Department is composed of a staff of engineers with a wide variety of experience in airport design, civil engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, structural analysis, water and wastewater treatment, combined sewer overflow studies, infrastructure analysis, facilities studies, economic analysis and assistance planning, land use planning, site analysis, construction management services, and general surveying.

 

Our Inspection Department is made up of a highly certified staff of inspectors experienced with roads, sanitary sewers, pump stations, force mains, waterlines, above ground storage tanks, and various petroleum industry projects. Growing liability concerns, industry regulation, and increased quality standards demand thorough field control and documented project compliance.

 

Our Survey Department is skilled in the tasks necessary for boundary surveys, topographic surveys, American Land Title Association/American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ALTA/ACSM) land title surveys, GPS/GIS, and other data collection tasks needed at the start of any project. Once the design and architectural plans are complete, our crews have extensive construction staking skills which can be provided to our clients’ project managers and superintendents.

 

Peterman Associates is committed in keeping up to date with technology. Our offices are fully networked allowing our technical personnel in both offices quick and easy access to the data necessary to serve our clients’ needs. The majority of the design in our offices is performed using a combination of software. AutoCAD 2018 and Revit are the base platforms utilized in the preparation of construction plans. Additional software such as AASHTO Pavement Analysis Software, Energy 10 (Building Life Cycle Cost Estimating Program), HEC-RAS, Hydraflow (Storm Sewers, Hydrographs, and Open Channels), Pacsoft CivilMaster, WaterCAD, and Hydronet are used to provide additional design information to supplement our base software. Peterman’s commitment for the latest in survey technology is evident by utilizing a Robotic Total Station for TOPO Surveys / Construction Staking, upgraded TDS Data Collector software, and providing Building Information Modeling (BIM) design services through Revit.

 

Peterman Associates, Inc. has the capability of producing color and black & white drawings as well as producing both digital renderings and printable images.

 

Reports, contracts, bidding documents and various data analyses are prepared using Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel. The specific software listed is a sampling of the various support wares that are available for our staff. Any additional software that is needed in order to serve our clients’ needs is obtained as required to insure compatibility of the data with our clients’ information databases.

Leadership

 

Nick Nigh P.S., Todd Jenkins P.E., MSCE, and Greg Knestrick are the current owners of Peterman Associates, Inc. Richard Livecchi, NCARB and Eric Trout, NCARB are the staff architects of the Architectural portion of the firm.  Mr. Jenkins oversees the engineering department while Mr. Nigh is in charge of the surveying department.

Mr. Jenkins, Partner / Chief Operating Officer – 32 years experience.  Todd is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio with a Class III Wastewater License.

 

Mr. Nigh, Partner / President – 46 years experience.  Nick is a member of the Professional Land Surveyors of Ohio and the Ohio Contractors Association.

Mr. Livecchi, Staff Architect – 37 years experience. Rich is NCARB certified and has a project portfolio that encompasses numerous states within the Midwest.

Mr. Trout, Staff Architect – 25 years experience. Eric is NCARB certified and has been with Peterman since 2004 as he has held numerous roles during his tenure.
